Our History The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, Alabama Chapter was founded in March 2005 by Frederick “Solo” Styles. Prior to establishing Alabama chapter Solo was the second member of Georgia Mother Chapter to dawn colors. An active duty military service member who resided in Ft. Hood, Texas Solo was considered as a member at large; a few years later he was then stationed at Ft. Stewart, Georgia which allowed him to become dedicated to the organization. Georgia was short lived for Solo; he then received orders for Redstone Arsenal located in Alabama. A motorcycle enthusiast Solo quickly realized that Huntsville would be an ideal place to start a Buffalo Soldier Chapter. After thoughtful consideration and speaking with his older brother Frank “Renegade” Styles founder of Atlanta, Georgia chapter, Solo then petitioned the National Association Board of Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club (NABSMC) to start a chapter in the State of Alabama. The petition was put to vote by the NABSMC and received 100% consentience with high annotations in support that Solo be granted an opportunity to form the first chapter in Alabama. March 2005 Solo dawn the Colors of Alabama, he was then recognized as the founder and first President of the Mother Chapter of Alabama; his responsibilities was to form a chapter that would positively represent the organization and the community. Solo was proud to salute Alex “Iceman” Harrison as the second member and Vice President to dawn the colors of Alabama. June 2005. Solo and Ice stood before the NABSMC at the summer meeting in New Jersey, at which time the chapter was officially notated in records as an official chapter of the NABSMC. The Chapter first board of officers was Frederick “Solo” Styles Founder and President, Alex “Iceman” Harrison Vice President, Frederick “Six-Fifty” McCallum Secretary, Eze “Mogas” Abuwali Treasurer, and Leroy “Hump” Harris as Chaplain. The Alabama Mother Chapter thrives on educating the community on the history of the Buffalo Soldiers, and setting a positive image to all men and women of the community. One Club, One Patch, One Mindset!
